Holly Berry Bishop

It was really hard to decide what to smock for our sweet Georgia Kate last Christmas.
I love babies in white, and my daughter and I decided on this dress.

The fabric is white Imperial batiste.

The plate is Holly Berry Bishop, by Crosseyed Cricket.

The sleeve...

And our tiny granddaughter in her first Christmas dress...
She was 4 months old when this was taken.

And my daughter's Christmas card from last Christmas!

I hope you are busy sewing something fun for someone for Christmas!

Toy Soldiers

Last Christmas I got to make TWO Christmas outfits.
This one was for my precious grandson.

I bought the white piped shirt.
The pattern I used for the long Jon Jon is Creations by Michie', #137.

The plate is Toy Soldiers, designed by Sylvia Carroll for Ellen McCarn.
I changed the colors and the borders.

And here is our sweet boy in the last Christmas outfit I was allowed to smock for him.
Sniff Sniff!!!
One sniff for not getting to smock for him any more,
and one sniff for how cute and little he looks.
He has changed a lot in the last year! Still adorable, just bigger!

In my next post, I'll show you the first Christmas dress I made for our sweet Georgia Kate!

Hello, old friends! And...the Christmas dress!

Right after my beautiful granddaughter was born, in July of 2013,
my computer stopped allowing me to post on my blog.
I guess it was missing some kind of software that blogger.com wanted it to use,
and I couldn't post.
I got a different computer a few months ago, and voila! It worked!
Then I got all hung up on...
should I go back and try to do things in order,
or should I just jump back in?
I decided I'll just jump back in,
then I might just post some rewind posts later.

This year's Christmas dress is made of green Imperial microcheck.

I sort of combined two of Ellen McCarn's plates...
Holiday Greetings and Candy-licious...
and added my own border at the top.

The sleeves...

I don't get to smock for Reid any more.
He is going to wear a really cute red checked shirt from Kelly's Kids.
I'll post a picture when I'm allowed.
I don't want to spoil my daughter's Christmas card picture. :)

More coming soon!
Happy Sewing!!!
